Politics4All Launches Political Social Networking Site: Exclusive TechCrunch50 Participation Validates Unique Concept

San Francisco, California, September 15, 2008 – Montgomery, Alabama-based political social networking Web site Politics4All was recently launched to audiences at the prestigious TechCrunch50 conference, as the company was hand-picked and introduced as one of the top 150 Internet start-up companies in the world.

Politics4All is a social networking platform created to provide a central network in which to exchange ideas and information about politics on the local, state and national levels. The user-driven site features information about political candidates, political parties and political/social causes in an easy to navigate format, allowing its users to communicate and interact with others who may share their same views or ideas.

“Politics4All is designed to allow candidates, citizens, and political organizations to collaborate and influence the political landscape, at all levels of government,” says Branden South, Co-Founder and Vice President of Sales of Politics4All. “How many times has a voter entered a voting booth, and cast a ballot for someone he or she knows nothing about?” asks South.

There are only a few hundred nationally elected officials in the U.S., but more than 400,000 on the state, county and municipals levels. There are elections happening each month, all of which have significance to citizens.

From voter referendums for a proposed drink tax in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, to a meals tax in Leesburg, Virginia, to a ballot in Nashville, Tennessee proposing English as a first language for all state government workers, Politics4All provides a forum for concerned citizens to rally supporters and voice their opinions with others, including the political officials who influence these decisions.

While the U.S. presidential elections are top of mind, Politics4All builds upon promoting political candidates, issues and parties on a local level, where decisions made have an immediate impact on voters. “Politicians at the local level determine funding for fire and police departments, for the paving of streets and sidewalks, for the funding of public schools, and for raising or lowering local taxes,” South added.

TechCrunch50 is the ‘World Series’ of the Web start-ups industry, and our invitation validates our dedication to developing a unique Web site that will facilitate conversation and activism about political and social issues,” says Politics4All Co-Founder and Vice President of Operations, Thomas Cook.

Politics4All was chosen to participate in TechCrunch50, standing out from the more than 1,000 submissions. TechCrunch, founded in 2005, and its conference held annually in San Francisco, provides a platform for early-stage companies to launch for the first time to the technology industry’s most influential venture capitalists, corporations, angel investors, fellow entrepreneurs and international media. Companies are selected to participate exclusively on merit.

Politics4All is encouraging registered political candidates, advocacy groups and voters to sign up with its site, and begin the political discussion in their hometown.

Politics4All is a real-time community that allows candidates, citizens, and groups to connect, collaborate, create grassroots movements and learn about local, state, national, and world political issues that affect their lives. For more information, please visit: www.politics4all.com.

Politics4All launches at TechCrunch50

On Tuesday, September 9, we launched in the Demo-pit at the TechCrunch50 conference in San Francisco. TechCrunch50 finds the best start-ups and provides a platform for early-stage companies to launch for the first time to the technology industry’s most influential venture capitalists (like Mark Cuban and Ron Conway), corporations, angel investors, fellow entrepreneurs and international media.

Our invitation validates our concept, our technology platform, and our staff’s dedication to developing a unique Website that will facilitate conversations about political and social issues, and encourage political activism. Over 124 million Americans have sought information from the Internet about the U.S. presidential campaign, and more than 18 million Americans visit the Internet daily to engage politically.

We would like to thank our team for all the hard work and our investors for their support.
