New feature push: Tag clouds, video and image integration with blog posts, and more

We pushed out several new features this week that we hope adds to the quality of everyone’s experience on Politics4All.

Videos and images can now be embedded in the blog posts. Two new buttons appear in the blog posting editor accomplish this. Just look for these buttons:
Expanded Content Browsing Options
A new tab button, “In Your Area”, has been added to the MyP4A page. This displays recent site content from your general geographic region in addition to the “Recent Activity” default which simply displays all relevant content starting with the most recent. Look for additional tab buttons to be added in the coming weeks which expand your ability to find relevant content.
While the content that shows up on the MyP4A page comes from only the people or groups that you Follow, the Front Page aggregates all site content. The “Front-runners” tab displays recent content that should be of high-interest to a majority of our site members. Based on some “secret sauce” algorithms, the Front-runners list is always changing. In addition to the Front-runners on the home page, we’ve also added a “Recent” tab which displays all content starting with the most recent.
Both Front Page content tabs currently display 8 entries only; however, we are looking at expanding this in the future.
Front Page Link Change
Along those lines…the Front Page link in the navigation bar has been removed. Clicking the large Politics4All logo will take you to the Front Page.
Other additional changes include the following:
